You can easily create meeting rooms in the administration interface and configure them according to your specific needs. For example, it is possible to set passwords for entering the conference, upload a presentation in advance, limit the maximum number of participants or activate the recording of the entire video. All configuration options offered by BigBlueButton are supported.
Colleagues, business partners, seminar participants or students with whom you regularly hold online conferences can be created and managed in a general participant list. Simply enter your name and e-mail address.
Before the meeting, you can invite participants to a meeting by email (simply copy the meeting link) or via the administration interface. The administration interface offers the option of conveniently selecting participants from the participant list and adding additional email addresses if required. If an appointment is specified (start/end date), an iCalendar is also attached to the invitation e-mail, which the participant can use to transfer the appointment to their calendar (e.g. Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, etc.) with a click.
As the moderator, you start the meeting for your specifically configured meeting room directly via the green button in the list of meeting rooms.
During the meeting, you can upload and share several presentations, documents and images. You can specify whether these files can be downloaded by the participants.
A whiteboard for writing and drawing for you as the moderator or for all participants helps to develop ideas together. Many different tools are available to you, e.g. freehand, shapes and text. Presentations or documents in which you have worked together with the whiteboard tools during the meeting can be downloaded afterwards with these changes.
You can configure ad-hoc surveys during a meeting and conduct them with the participants. The surveys can be generated automatically from the content of presentations or manually. The answers can be predefined or answered individually by the participant. Once the survey has been completed, you receive an evaluation of the results with presentation options.
You can share your screen during meetings. If you wish, you can share the entire screen or just certain application windows.
During the meeting, you can exchange text messages in the chat. This works both with all participants in the public chat and between individual participants in the private chat. The entire public chat history can then be exported as a text file.
If you have activated recordings for a meeting room, you can start and stop them manually or automatically during the meeting. After a meeting, the recordings are permanently available and can be distributed to the participants via a link. Only a web browser is required for playback (e.g. Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Edge). No additional app needs to be installed.
The administration interface provides you with statistics for each completed meeting.You can see when the meetings took place, the duration and the names of the participants and when they joined.
